Private Chartered Boats Now Available in Mykonos, Greece

In a bid to expand its services beyond traditional land-based transportation, Uber has launched private chartered boats in Mykonos, Greece. This new offering provides travelers with a unique opportunity to explore the stunning Greek islands in style and convenience.

A Luxurious Experience on the High Seas

With Uber's new boat service, users can book a private chartered boat through the app and enjoy personalized experiences while sailing around the scenic waters of Mykonos. The service, available from mid-June to October, allows up to eight people to cruise to destinations around the island.

How it Works

The on-demand service is operated by a local licensed operator and is available through the Uber app. The local operator will provide services locally, sub-licensing Uber technology. This partnership ensures a seamless and convenient experience for users.

A First for Greece

Although Uber has experimented with boat services before, including "Boat To Work" in San Francisco and Uber Boat in London, the Mykonos offering is unique. For the first time, users can charter a private boat exclusively for themselves and their guests. Unlike the London service, Uber Boat in Mykonos is not owned by a third party.

Expansion Plans

While Mykonos is the first supported destination for the service, Uber plans to potentially extend it to other Greek islands in the future. This move is part of the company's efforts to diversify its offerings and provide users with more options for getting around.
